Pokémon Sapphire is a role‑playing game (RPG) developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. Story and Setting
The game takes place in the Hoenn region, known for its islands, forests, and oceans. Players control a young Trainer who chooses a starter Pokémon and challenges eight Gym Leaders. The main quest is to defeat the Elite Four, become the Hoenn League Champion, and complete the Pokédex. In Sapphire, the antagonists Team Aqua aim to expand the oceans using the legendary Pokémon Kyogre, creating conflict players must resolve.

Gameplay
The game features turn-based battles, exploration, and Pokémon training. It introduced Double Battles, where two Pokémon fight on each side, and Pokémon Abilities, granting unique effects in battles and the overworld. Players can also participate in Pokémon Contests and explore Secret Bases across Hoenn.
